Summary
The Legislative Interim Finance Committee's Subcommittee for Federal Stimulus Oversight is a temporary interim committee of the Nevada Legislature to oversee the use of funds allocated from money received by the state from the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The duties of the Subcommittee include reviewing the plans of state agencies for spending allocated funds and monitoring the expenditure of those allocated funds to ensure that the money is distributed in an equitable manner based on need and maximizes the goals of the state to improve the state system of public education, provide greater access to health care, provide for more efficient use of energy and to create more jobs.
