Bulletin
The Legislature has created statutory committees to study important policy topics during the interim period when the Legislature is not in session. Most (though not all) of these statutory committees mirror similar standing committees that meet during the legislative session. Additional committees may also be formed to perform specific studies.
Interim committees hold public hearings, direct research, and deliberate on proposals for legislation to be considered during the next session of the Legislature. When this work is complete, each committee publishes a bulletin, which includes a summary of the committee's activities and its recommendations for action. Each of these publications is given a bulletin number.
