Legislative Committee on Senior Citizens, Veterans and Adults with Special Needs (NRS 218E.750)
Summary
The Legislative Committee on Senior Citizens, Veterans and Adults With Special Needs may review, study, and comment on issues relating to these groups. Issues may include: financial wellness; physical wellness; abuse, neglect, isolation, and exploitation; public outreach and advocacy; programs that provide services in the most appropriate setting; services and care in the home; the appointment of guardians; the improvement of facilities for long-term care in Nevada; and the availability of useful information and data for the State to make decisions, plan budgets, and monitor costs and outcomes of services. The Committee may recommend and request legislation to address these and other issues, and it is required to report to each regular legislative session.
