I have a specific bill I want to research. Where do I go from here? The first thing to do is to check to see if the Research Library has already compiled a legislative history for your bill. To do this online, use our Simple Search, or you can contact the Library (see below). The Research Library compiles legislative histories for legislators, Legislative Counsel Bureau staff, and state agencies. Once we have compiled a history, we scan it and make it available in PDF format on our website. Out of the 1200 to 1500 bills and resolutions introduced in the average session, the Library will have compiled histories for approximately 15 percent of those measures.
I'm having trouble opening/printing one of the PDF legislative histories. What can I do? What else might I need to know, or where else might I look? The Research Library has not compiled a legislative history for the bill I am researching. Where do I go from here? |
If you have any questions about the Library's web pages,
please
