Fiscal Brief: Overview of The Executive Budget, prepared by the Fiscal Analysis Division, provides a concise summary of key information extracted from The Executive Budget and outlines the Governor's budget recommendations for the upcoming biennium.

The report is organized into sections, covering General Fund revenue and expenditure trends, revenue projections of the Economic Forum, and the Governor's recommended appropriations for the upcoming biennium. This includes supplemental appropriations, one-time appropriations, restoration of account balances, and capital improvements.

Additionally, the report includes general highlights of statewide budgetary issues, as well as key recommendations within each functional area of state government through high-level summaries. Emphasis is placed on recommended changes and expansion or reductions of existing programs; therefore, this report should be used in conjunction with The Executive Budget in which more complete information is presented.
