AN ACT making an appropriation for maintenance of the statewide system for the collection and analysis of information concerning birth defects and other adverse birth outcomes; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1  Section 1. There is hereby appropriated from the State General

1-2  Fund to the Health Division of the Department of Human Resources

1-3  for maintenance of the statewide system for the collection and

1-4  analysis of information concerning birth defects and other adverse

1-5  birth outcomes established pursuant to NRS 442.320:

1-6       For the fiscal year 2003-2004...... $150,000

1-7       For the fiscal year 2004-2005...... $150,000

1-8  Sec.  2.  Any balance of the sums appropriated by section 1 of

1-9  this act remaining at the end of the respective fiscal years must not

1-10  be committed for expenditure after June 30 of the respective fiscal

1-11  years and reverts to the State General Fund as soon as all payments

1-12  of money committed have been made.

1-13      Sec.  3.  This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
