AN ACT relating to the University and Community College System of Nevada; making an appropriation to support the program to provide loans to nursing students; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1  Section 1. 1.  There is hereby appropriated from the Trust

1-2  Fund for Public Health, created pursuant to NRS 439.605, to the

1-3  Board of Regents of the University of Nevada the sum of $122,000

1-4  for the support of the program to provide loans to nursing students

1-5  pursuant to NRS 396.890 to 396.898, inclusive.

1-6  2.  The administration of the loans provided pursuant to the

1-7  provisions of NRS 396.890 to 396.898, inclusive, must be in

1-8  accordance with the policy established pursuant to section 1 of

1-9  chapter 580, Statutes of Nevada 2001, at page 2944.

1-10      3.  Any balance of the sums appropriated by subsection 1 and

1-11  any repayment of a loan and accrued interest on a loan must not

1-12  revert to any fund at the end of any fiscal year.
