AN ACT making supplemental appropriations to the Department of Motor Vehicles for certain unanticipated shortfalls in money for Fiscal Year 2002-2003; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN
SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1-1 Section 1. 1. There is hereby appropriated from the State
1-2 Highway Fund to the Automation Division of the Department of
1-3 Motor Vehicles the sum of $667,590 for an unanticipated shortfall
1-4 in money for Fiscal Year 2002-2003 for the upgrade and expansion
1-5 of a toll-free telephone system. This appropriation is supplemental
1-6 to that made by section 30 of chapter 570, Statutes of Nevada 2001,
1-7 at page 2864.
1-8 2. There is hereby appropriated from the State Highway Fund
1-9 to the Automation Division of the Department of Motor Vehicles
1-10 the sum of $308,400 for an unanticipated shortfall in money for
1-11 Fiscal Year 2002-2003 for expenses relating to storage space for
1-12 discs. This appropriation is supplemental to that made by section 30
1-13 of chapter 570, Statutes of Nevada 2001, at page 2864.
2-1 3. There is hereby appropriated from the State Highway Fund
2-2 to the Hearings Office of the Department of Motor Vehicles the sum
2-3 of $44,200 for Fiscal Year 2002-2003 for an unanticipated shortfall
2-4 in salaries and revenue. This appropriation is supplemental to that
2-5 made by section 30 of chapter 570, Statutes of Nevada 2001, at page
2-6 2864.
2-7 4. There is hereby appropriated from the State Highway Fund
2-8 to the Division of Field Services of the Department of Motor
2-9 Vehicles the sum of $30,419 for an unanticipated shortfall in money
2-10 for Fiscal Year 2002-2003 for expenses relating to the Qmatic
2-11 warranties. This appropriation is supplemental to that made by
2-12 section 30 of chapter 570, Statutes of Nevada 2001, at page 2864.
2-13 5. There is hereby appropriated from the State Highway Fund
2-14 to the Division of Field Services of the Department of Motor
2-15 Vehicles the sum of $66,000 for an unanticipated shortfall in money
2-16 for Fiscal Year 2002-2003 for rent for a building that is not owned
2-17 by the State. This appropriation is supplemental to that made by
2-18 section 30 of chapter 570, Statutes of Nevada 2001, at page 2864.
2-19 6. There is hereby appropriated from the State Highway Fund
2-20 to the Division of Compliance Enforcement of the Department of
2-21 Motor Vehicles the sum of $49,096 for an unanticipated shortfall in
2-22 money for Fiscal Year 2002-2003 for fingerprinting services. This
2-23 appropriation is supplemental to that made by section 30 of chapter
2-24 570, Statutes of Nevada 2001, at page 2864.
2-25 7. There is hereby appropriated from the State Highway Fund
2-26 to the Division of Management Services and Programs of the
2-27 Department of Motor Vehicles the sum of $125,925 for an
2-28 unanticipated shortfall in money for Fiscal Year 2002-2003 for
2-29 salaries for security guards. This appropriation is supplemental to
2-30 that made by section 30 of chapter 570, Statutes of Nevada 2001, at
2-31 page 2864.
2-32 Sec. 2. This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
