THIRTIETH DAY
Carson City (Tuesday), March 4, 2003
Senate called to order at 11:20 a.m.
President Hunt presiding.
Roll called.
All present.
Prayer by the Chaplain, Monte Fast, Director of Friends in Service Helping.
“Blessed is the nation where God is the Lord,” said the ancient
prophet.
When our founding fathers prayed, a blessed nation was formed.
When they agreed that they would not make laws establishing
religion, they were blessed.
A new freedom was granted, freedom of worship.
We are blessed.
May it ever be so.
Amen.
Pledge of allegiance to the Flag.
Senator Raggio moved that further reading of the Journal be dispensed with, and the President and Secretary be authorized to make the necessary corrections and additions.
Motion carried.
