    A moment of thanks. The beauty of this little valley, nestled against the Sierra Nevada.
The warmth of the people of this little valley, their hospitality, their charity, their goodness. A moment of prayer. For people in another faraway capital who mourn. For the loss of 97 young lives. For the families who do not have answers. Protect the people of our valley while You comfort the neighbors of our sister state.

    Assembly Bill No. 184—AN ACT relating to manufactured home parks; creating the Manufactured Home Park Rent Review Board within the Manufactured Housing Division of the Department of Business and Industry; prescribing the powers and duties of the Board; prohibiting certain persons from imposing an increase in rent unless the increase has been approved by the Board; revising the powers and duties of the State Library and Archives Administrator; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

    Assemblywoman Buckley moved that the bill be referred to the Committee on Commerce and Labor.

    Assembly Bill No. 186—AN ACT making an appropriation to the Board of Regents of the University of Nevada for establishment of the Nevada Educational Support Program; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

    Assembly Bill No. 187—AN ACT relating to tort actions; providing that defendants in an action for medical malpractice are severally liable for economic and noneconomic damages; limiting the recovery of noneconomic damages in all tort actions; requiring that damages awarded in certain actions be reduced by the amount of any benefit received from a collateral source; providing that defendants in an action for personal injury or wrongful death are severally liable for noneconomic damages; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

    Assembly Bill No. 188—AN ACT relating to prisoners; requiring a prisoner who commences a civil action to pay the full amount of any filing fees under certain circumstances; prohibiting a prisoner from bringing a civil action for mental and emotional injury without a prior showing of physical harm; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

    Assemblyman Anderson moved that the bill be referred to the Committee on Judiciary.

    Assembly Bill No. 190—AN ACT relating to contractors; revising the circumstances in which construction fraud occurs; clarifying the circumstances in which the Executive Director of the State Contractors’ Board may seek a cease and desist order; revising the circumstances in which the State Contractors’ Board may require a licensed contractor to post a bond for wages; providing that the State Contractors’ Board shall suspend the license of a licensee who is prohibited from being awarded a contract for a public work; revising and clarifying the circumstances in which the State Contractors’ Board may take disciplinary action against a licensee; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

    Assemblyman Parks moved that the bill be referred to the Committee on Commerce and Labor.
