AN ACT relating to utilities; eliminating certain restrictions that Senate Bill No. 425 of the 71st Session of the Nevada Legislature imposed on governmental entities relating to the acquisition or expansion of certain utility facilities; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1  Section 1. Section 85 of chapter 416, Statutes of Nevada 2001,

1-2  at page 2115, is hereby amended to read as follows:

1-3  Sec. 85.  This act becomes effective on July 1, 2001, and

1-4  expires by limitation on [July] March 1, 2003.

1-5  Sec. 2.  This act becomes effective upon passage and approval.
