AN ACT relating to gaming; revising the definition of “resort hotel” for the purposes of certain statutes pertaining to gaming; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

 

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN

SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

 

1-1  Section 1. NRS 463.01865 is hereby amended to read as

1-2  follows:

1-3  463.01865  “Resort hotel” means any building or group of

1-4  buildings [that] which is maintained as and held out to the public to

1-5  be a hotel or time-share project where sleeping accommodations are

1-6  furnished to the transient public and [that] which has:

1-7  1.  More than 200 rooms available for sleeping

1-8  accommodations;

1-9  2.  At least one bar with permanent seating capacity for more

1-10  than 30 patrons that serves alcoholic beverages sold by the drink for

1-11  consumption on the premises;

1-12      3.  At least one restaurant with permanent seating capacity for

1-13  more than 60 patrons that is open to the public 24 hours each day

1-14  and 7 days each week[;] , or at least one snack bar or delicatessen

1-15  that is open to the public 10 hours each day and 7 days each week;

1-16  and

1-17      4.  A gaming area within the building or group of buildings.
