    Lord, may we take a moment this morning to reflect upon Your goodness and blessings in our lives. May we never take You or what flows from Your hand for granted.

    As Your word says in the book of Psalms: “We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks! For Your wondrous works declare that Your Name is near.” (Psa. 75:1)

    Please give wisdom to our Legislators. Bless their families and staff.

    By the Committee on Taxation:

    Senate Bill No. 238—AN ACT relating to taxation; providing certain rights for taxpayers of the tax on the transfer of real property; establishing provisions relating to the collection and enforcement of the tax on the transfer of real property; eliminating certain exemptions from the tax on the transfer of real property; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

    Senator McGinness moved that the bill be referred to the Committee on Taxation.

    By the Committee on Human Resources and Facilities:

    Senate Bill No. 239—AN ACT relating to public health; requiring the department of human resources to arrange for the availability of a basic policy of health insurance for each senior citizen who participates in the program of subsidies for the provision of prescription drugs and pharmaceutical services to senior citizens; authorizing the department of human resources to arrange for the availability of more than one type of policy of health insurance for senior citizens who participate in the program; increasing the maximum allowable subsidies for senior citizens who participate in the program; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

    Senator Rawson moved that the bill be referred to the Committee on Human Resources and Facilities.
