We thank You for another day in which to live and enjoy Your blessings provided for us in this great state.
Help, I pray, these Senators who serve the State of Nevada to recognize each others’ abilities and encourage them.
To understand each others’ shortcomings and make allowances for them.
To work patiently for improvement of the laws they debate for our state.
Help, I pray, we the citizens to pray for each Senator that they may reach their full potential professionally and privately.

Senate Bill No. 86—AN ACT relating to campaign practices; prohibiting applicants for and holders of a nonrestricted gaming license and affiliates, agents and certain employees thereof from making campaign contributions to candidates, political parties and certain groups; prohibiting candidates, political parties and certain groups from accepting campaign contributions from such persons; providing a penalty; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
Senator Neal moved that the bill be referred to the Committee on Government Affairs.

Senate Bill No. 87—AN ACT relating to children; authorizing a juvenile court to require certain children to participate in a supervised program for the arts; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

Senate Bill No. 89—AN ACT relating to public welfare; creating a fund to assist indigent persons with utility bills; providing that the welfare division of the department of human resources shall administer the fund; requiring 10 percent of the unclaimed money in the abandoned property trust fund that is from abandoned money of a utility to be deposited in the fund; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

Senate Bill No. 94—AN ACT relating to industrial insurance; providing a formula for the distribution among an injured employee or his dependents, his attorney and certain other persons of damages recovered under certain circumstances from a party other than the employer when that party is legally liable for the industrial injury of the employee; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
Senator Townsend moved that the bill be referred to the Committee on Commerce and Labor.

Senate Bill No. 95—AN ACT relating to industrial insurance; requiring a person who endorses a check that is issued by an insurer for payment of certain benefits for industrial insurance to certify that he is entitled to those benefits; revising the provisions governing the payment of compensation if an injury or condition that is not related to employment is involved; limiting the circumstances under which an insurer may determine that a disability is a permanent total disability; requiring rating evaluations for permanent partial disability to be based upon certain objective findings; removing the limitation on the payment of a death benefit for the transportation of the remains of a deceased employee beyond the continental limits of the United States; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
Senator Townsend moved that the bill be referred to the Committee on Commerce and Labor.
