AN ACT relating to impact fees; authorizing the imposition of impact fees for projects relating to emergency fire protection or emergency medical services; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1 Chapter 278B of NRS is hereby amended by adding thereto the provisions set forth as sections 2 and 3 of this act.
Sec. 2 "Emergency services project" means facilities and equipment for the provision of emergency fire protection or emergency medical services, including, without limitation, ambulances, fire engines, water tenders and trucks with ladders or elevated platforms.
Sec. 3 "Water tender" means a tanker truck that serves as a portable source of water.
Sec. 4 NRS 278B.010 is hereby amended to read as follows:
278B.010As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires, the words and terms defined in NRS 278B.020 to 278B.140, inclusive, and sections 2 and 3 of this act, have the meanings ascribed to them in those sections.
Sec. 5 NRS 278B.020 is hereby amended to read as follows:
278B.020"Capital improvement" means [a:
1. Drainage] :
1. A drainage project;
2. [Sanitary] An emergency services project;
3. A sanitary sewer project;
[3. Storm]
4. A storm sewer project;
[4. Street]
5. A street project; or
[5. Water]
6. A water project.
