AN ACT relating to the management of solid waste; making an appropriation to Lincoln County for the purchase of equipment for the operation of solid waste transfer stations; making an appropriation to the City of Caliente for the same purpose; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to Lincoln County the sum of $240,000 for the purchase of equipment for the operation of solid waste transfer stations within that county.
Sec. 2 There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to the City of Caliente the sum of $150,000 for the purchase of equipment for the operation of solid waste transfer stations within that city.
Sec. 3 Any remaining balance of the appropriations made by sections 1 and 2 of this act must not be committed for expenditure after June 30, 1999, and reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of money committed have been made.
Sec. 4 This act becomes effective upon passage and approval or on June 30, 1997, whichever occurs earlier.
