AN ACT relating to eminent domain; limiting the exercise of the power of eminent domain for byroads to public agencies; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1 Chapter 37 of NRS is hereby amended by adding thereto a new section to read as follows:
1. Only a public agency may exercise the power of eminent domain for a byroad, whether the byroad is owned by a private person or a public agency.
2. As used in this section, "public agency" means an agency or political subdivision of this state or the United States.
