AN ACT making an appropriation to the state public works board for the construction of a veterans' home in southern Nevada; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEMBLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1 There is hereby appropriated from the state general fund to the state public works board the sum of $6,700,000 for construction of a veterans' home in southern Nevada.
Sec. 2. Any remaining balance of the appropriation made by section 1 of this act must not be committed for expenditure after completion of the project and reverts to the state general fund as soon as all payments of money committed have been made.
Sec. 3. This act becomes effective on July 1, 1997.
