SB133*AN ACT relating to crimes; removing the requirement that a court grant probation to a person who is convicted of committing a category E felony under certain circumstances; providing a fine that may be imposed for attempting to commit certain crimes; revising the penalties for certain felonies; providing a greater penalty for committing a battery with a deadly weapon which results in substantial bodily harm; clarifying that a trial judge may not dismiss a count of habitual felon or habitually fraudulent felon; providing that a court may impose an adjudication of habitual criminality, habitual felon or habitually fraudulent felon based upon the stipulation of the parties; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.

SB254*AN ACT relating to taxation; revising the formulas for the distribution of the proceeds of certain taxes; prohibiting certain governmental entities from pledging certain revenues to secure the payment of bonds or other obligations; revising the rate certain governmental entities must not exceed if levying an additional tax ad valorem under certain circumstances; requiring the executive director to allocate to certain governmental entities an amount equal to an amount calculated by using the average amount received from certain taxes for 2 fiscal years under certain circumstances; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
SB314*AN ACT relating to common-interest ownership; establishing various requirements for meetings of units' owners associations; establishing the office of the ombudsman for owners in common-interest communities; requiring certain associations to pay an annual fee for the operation of the office; establishing requirements for an information statement that must be given, under certain circumstances, to a purchaser of a unit within a common-interest community; prohibiting an association from foreclosing a lien by sale under certain circumstances; prohibiting an association from exercising the power of eminent domain; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
SB427*AN ACT relating to public welfare; creating the division of health care financing and policy within the department of human resources and providing its duties; reassigning certain duties of the welfare division of the department to the division of health care financing and policy and to the housing division of the department of business and industry; exempting the division of health care financing and policy from the requirements of the Nevada Administrative Procedure Act; revising certain provisions regarding reports of the abuse, neglect or exploitation of older persons; revising certain provisions that limit the increase in charges that a major hospital may impose; requiring the legislative committee on health care to conduct a study to evaluate expanding access to health care in this state and to make recommendations for establishing a mandatory Medicaid managed care program; making an appropriation; providing for the allocation and transfer of certain funding for the treatment of Medicaid patients, indigent patients and other low-income patients; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
SB465AN ACT relating to livestock; establishing a minimum rate of the annual special tax on specified classes of livestock; and providing other matters properly relating thereto.
