MINUTES OF THE SENATE COMMITTEE ON TAXATION Sixty-eighth Session July 1, 1995 The Senate Committee on Taxation was called to order by Chairman Sue Lowden, at 9:24 p.m., on Saturday, July 1, 1995, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster. COMMITTEE MEMBER PRESENT: Senator Sue Lowden, Chairman Senator Kathy M. Augustine, Vice Chairman Senator Ann O'Connell Senator John B. (Jack) Regan Senator Ernest E. Adler COMMITTEE MEMBERS ABSENT: Senator Dean A. Rhoads Senator Randolph J. Townsend STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: Kevin Welsh, Deputy Fiscal Analyst Cristin Buchanan, Committee Secretary Senator Lowden advised the committee there is an amendment to Assembly Bill (A.B.) 450. ASSEMBLY BILL 450: Makes various changes relating to collection of sales and use taxes. Senator Adler implied a motion to amend and do pass as amended A.B. 450 and Senator O'Connell concurred, pending a conversation with Mr. Lynn C. Hetrrick, Assembly District No. 39. Senator Lowden addressed Assembly Bill (A.B.) 702, indicating an amendment has been proposed which will include any house of prostitution in the study and evaluation consideration and requested an action be taken. ASSEMBLY BILL 702: Provides for evaluation of desirability and feasibility of imposing state license fee on sexually oriented businesses. SENATOR REAGAN MOVED TO INDEFINITELY POSTPONE A.B. 702.
