(Jack) Regan Senator O. C. Lee STAFF MEMBER PRESENT: Joan Thran, Committee Secretary Chairman Rhoads explained to the committee Amendment No. 1543 to Senate Bill (S.B.) 121. SENATE BILL 121: Increases fees for certain petroleum products and storage tanks and revises allocation of costs resulting from discharge from certain storage tanks. Chairman Rhoads explained the amendment reduces the fee increase from 4 mills to 1.5 mills and creates incentives to control the costs of the cleanup. SENATOR JAMES MOVED TO CONCUR WITH AMENDMENT NO. 1543 to S.B. 121. SENATOR ADLER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. ***** Chairman Rhoads spoke on Amendment No. 1490 to Senate Bill (S.B.) 121. Discussion followed on underground storage. SENATOR ADLER MOVED TO CONCUR WITH AMENDMENT NO. 1490 TO S.B. 121. SENATOR LEE SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED.
