MINUTES OF THE SENATE COMMITTEE ON LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS AND OPERATIONS Sixty-eighth Session March 27, 1995 The Senate Committee on Legislative Affairs and Operations was called to order by Chairman Mike McGinness, at 12:03 p.m., on Monday, March 27, 1995, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster. COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT: Senator Mike McGinness, Chairman Senator William J. Raggio, Vice Chairman Senator Raymond D. Rawson Senator Mark A. James Senator Dina Titus Senator Bob Coffin COMMITTEE MEMBERS ABSENT: Senator Bernice Mathews (Excused) Senator McGinness started discussion of Senate Resolution (S.R.) 4. SENATE RESOLUTION 4: Expresses disapproval of certain recent actions of Governor and Attorney General of State of Nevada. A general discussion ensued by committee members. Senator Coffin asked if committee rules, adopted by the committee had been suspended. Senator Raggio said no, "that reasonable notice was given on S.R. 4." Senator Rawson clarified Senate Rule Number Seven and remarked that the issue was presented last week in the senate chambers. SENATOR RAGGIO MOVED FOR COMMITTEE INTRODUCTION OF S.R. 4. SENATOR RAWSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED. (SENATORS COFFIN AND TITUS VOTED NO.)
