The Senate Committee on Judiciary was called to order by 
Chairman Mark A. James, at 11:19 a.m., on Saturday, July 1, 
1995, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson 
City, Nevada.   There was no Agenda.  There was no Attendance 
Roster.

COMMITTEE MEMBERS ABSENT:

Senator James requested a vote be taken not to concur with 
Amendment Number (No.) 1498 to Senate Bill (S.B.) 299, which 
said amendment defines a "dangerous knife" as being 2 or more 
inches in length.

SENATE BILL 299:	Requires sheriff to issue permits to carry 
concealed firearms to certain persons.

SENATOR TITUS MOVED NOT TO CONCUR WITH AMENDMENT NO. 1498 
TO S.B. 299.

SENATOR WASHINGTON SECONDED THE MOTION.


THE MOTION CARRIED.  (SENATORS PORTER AND McGINNESS WERE 
ABSENT FOR THE VOTE.)
