MINUTES OF THE SENATE COMMITTEE ON GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS Sixty-eighth Session April 27, 1995 The Senate Committee on Government Affairs was called to order by Chairman Ann O'Connell, at 12:30 p.m., on Thursday, April 27, 1995, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster. COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT: Senator Ann O'Connell, Chairman Senator Randolph J. Townsend, Vice Chairman Senator Jon C. Porter Senator William J. Raggio Senator William R. O'Donnell Senator Dina Titus Senator Raymond C. Shaffer GUEST LEGISLATORS PRESENT: Senator Mark A. James STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: Ricka Benum, Committee Secretary Chairman O'Connell informed the members that Senator James requested the committee to rescind its action of committee introduction and recommendation that Bill Draft Request (BDR) 3-518 be referred to the Senate Committee on Government Affairs. BILL DRAFT REQUEST 3_518: Allow inspection of property to be acquired by condemnation. According to Senator James, the Senate Committee on Judiciary will be hearing other measures which address eminent domain. SENATOR SHAFFER MOVED TO RESCIND ACTION OF COMMITTEE INTRODUCTION OF BDR 3-518 WITH THE RECOMMENDATION OF REFERRAL TO THE SENATE COMMITTEE ON GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS. SENATOR TOWNSEND SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. * * * * * Chairman O'Connell requested a motion for committee introduction of BDR 3-518. SENATOR SHAFFER MOVED FOR INTRODUCTION OF BDR 3-518 TO BE REFERRED TO THE SENATE COMMITTEE ON JUDICIARY. SENATOR TOWNSEND SECONDED THE MOTION.
