MINUTES OF THE SENATE COMMITTEE ON GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS Sixty-eighth Session March 24, 1995 The Senate Committee on Government Affairs was called to order by Chairman Ann O'Connell, at 11:09 a.m., on Friday, March 24, 1995, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster. COMMITTEE MEMBERS PRESENT: Senator Ann O'Connell, Chairman Senator Randolph J. Townsend, Vice Chairman Senator Jon C. Porter Senator William J. Raggio Senator William R. O'Donnell Senator Dina Titus Senator Raymond C. Shaffer STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: Ricka Benum, Committee Secretary Chairman O'Connell informed the committee members that the sponsor of Senate Bill (S.B.) 260 requested the bill be withdrawn. SENATE BILL 260 Revises provisions governing availability of public records. (BDR 19-365) Senator Raggio questioned the reason for action to be taken on the bill. The chairman indicated a preference for committee action to indefinitely postpone the measure, rather than allowing the bill to remain in committee with a "no action" listing. SENATOR TOWNSEND MOVED TO INDEFINITELY POSTPONE S.B. 260. SENATOR SHAFFER SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
