MINUTES OF THE
	SENATE COMMITTEE ON FINANCE

The Senate Committee on Finance was called to order by Chairman William J. Raggio, 
at 10:45 p.m., on Sunday, July 2, 1995, on the Senate floor of the Legislative 
Building, Carson City, Nevada.  There was no Agenda.  There was no Attendance 
Roster.

COMMITTEE MEMBER PRESENT:

Senator Raggio discussed Amendment No. 1567 to Senate Bill (S.B.) 204 with the 
committee which would replace Amendment No. 1561.  

SENATE BILL 204:	Makes appropriation to University and Community College System 
of Nevada for scholarships for students.

Senator Raggio explained to the committee that $705,00 would be used by the 
department for contractual services needs of each county school district.  The sum of 
$81,000 would be used to develop software and generate reports.  Also the sum of 
$1,814,00 would be distributed among the various county school districts to purchase 
computer hardware and software.

SENATOR O'DONNELL MOVED TO AMEND AND DO PASS S.B. 204 WITH 
AMENDMENT NO. 1567.


SENATOR COFFIN SECONDED THE MOTION.

THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
