MINUTES OF THE SENATE COMMITTEE ON FINANCE Sixty-eighth Session July 1, 1995 The Senate Committee on Finance was called to order by Chairman William J. Raggio, at 12:25 p.m., on Saturday, July 1, 1995, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster. Rhoads Senator Bernice Mathews STAFF MEMBER PRESENT: Joan Thran, Committee Secretary Senator Raggio stated Amendment No. 1405 to Senate Bill (S.B.) 501 would resolve the conflicts with Senate Bill (S.B.) 567. SENATE BILL 501: Revises provisions governing cost allocations for state agencies. SENATE BILL 567: Revises provisions governing cost allocations for state agencies. Senator Raggio remarked that the director of the Department of Administration in preparing the plan of statewide cost allocation shall allocate any appropriate costs to the State Board of Sheep Commissioners and the Committee to Control Predatory Animals of the Division of Agriculture. Any costs so allocated must be reimbursed from the state General Fund. In no event may the reimbursement exceed $5,000. SENATOR MATHEWS MOVED TO CONCUR WITH AMENDMENT NO. 1405 TO S.B. 501. SENATOR COFFIN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. ***** Senator Raggio started discussion on Amendment No. 1492 to Senate Bill 579 and remarked that this amendment replaces Amendment No. 1478. Discussion followed. SENATE BILL 579: Makes various appropriations from state general fund and revises provisions concerning governmental financial administration. SENATOR RAWSON MOVED NOT TO CONCUR WITH AMENDMENT NO. 1492 TO S.B. 579. SENATOR RAGGIO SECONDED THE MOTION.
