Raggio, at 10:47 p.m., on Saturday, July 1, 1995, on the Senate floor of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. There was no Agenda. There was no Attendance Roster. Rhoads Senator Bernice Mathews COMMITTEE MEMBER PRESENT: Joan Thran, Committee Secretary Senator Raggio discussed with the committee Assembly Bill (A.B.) 326 which would establish and maintain a branch office of the department of motor vehicles and public safety in Laughlin by stating, an appropriation of $185,000 for the first year and $125,000 for the second year would be approved. Discussion followed. ASSEMBLY BILL 326: Makes appropriation for establishment and maintenance of branch office of department of motor vehicles and public safety in Laughlin. SENATOR RAWSON MOVED TO DO PASS A.B. 326. SENATOR JACOBSEN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED. (SENATOR COFFIN VOTED NO.) ***** Senator Raggio started discussion on Assembly Bill (A.B.) 388. Discussion followed. ASSEMBLY BILL 388: Revises governor's advisory council on education relating to the Holocaust to develop programs to raise money for its use, and makes appropriation to council. SENATOR COFFIN MOVED TO DO PASS A.B. 388. SENATOR RAWSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. ***** Senator Raggio discussed with the committee two letters of intent to be sent to the Board of Trustees, County School Districts on Assembly Bill (A.B.) 224 (Exhibit A) and Assembly Bill (A.B.) 737 (Exhibit B). Discussion followed. ASSEMBLY BILL 224: Makes appropriation to department of education for distribution to local school districts. ASSEMBLY BILL 737: Apportions state distributive school account and revises provisions governing administration of public school money. SENATOR RAWSON MOVED TO EXECUTE THE LETTERS OF INTENT ON A.B. 224 AND A.B. 737. SENATOR O'DONNELL SECONDED THE MOTION.
