General discussion followed. ASSEMBLY BILL 462: Requires garages that repair motor vehicles to register with department of motor vehicles and public safety and creates motor vehicle repair advisory board. SENATOR SHAFFER MOVED TO AMEND AND DO PASS A.B. 462 WITH AMENDMENT NO. 1333. SENATE REGAN SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. ***** Senate Committee on Commerce and Labor July 1, 1995 Page 2 Senator Townsend began discussion on Assembly Bill (A.B.) 331 which makes changes in the insurance fraud unit established in the office of the attorney general which investigates and prosecutes insurance fraud.
