MINUTES OF THE ASSEMBLY SUBCOMMITTEE ON HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES Sixty-eighth Session June 6, 1995 The Subcommittee on Health and Human Services was called to order at 2:00 p.m., on Tuesday, June 6, 1995, Chairman William Harrington presiding in Room 330 of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada. Pepper Sturm, Chief Principal Research Analyst OTHERS PRESENT: Carlos Concha, Division of Parole and Probation Randall Todd, State Epidemiologist, Health Division ASSEMBLY BILL 605 - Provides that certain persons arrested must be tested for sexually transmitted disease. After hearing additional testimony and proposed amendments to A.B. 605 offered by Carlos Concha and Randall Todd, the subcommittee voted to recommend amend and do pass to the entire committee. The vote contained a proviso requested by Assemblywoman Buckley that Mr. Concha communicate with the Clark County Coalition of HIV/AIDS (Human Immunodeficiency Virus/Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) Service Providers and receive written or verbal acknowledgment that their proposed amendments (Exhibit C,) to A.B. 605 met with the Coalition's approval.
