Of Hospital & Health Systems ASSEMBLY BILL 157 - Authorizes hospital to admit licensed psychologists to its staff. After nearly two hours of testimony the subcommittee voted to recommend indefinite postponement of A.B. 157. There were too many unresolved issues connected with the bill including hospital regulations, training, costs and whether this should apply only to psychological hospitals. Chairman Goldwater suggested the psychologists return next Session with a bill that addresses those concerns clearly and concisely. He did not feel comfortable recommending A.B. 157 even with amendments, but committed to helping with a similar, workable measure next Session. RESPECTFULLY SUBMITTED: Terry Horgan, Committee Secretary APPROVED BY: Assemblyman David Goldwater, Chairman Assembly Subcommittee on Health and Human Services April 26, 1995 Page
