The Committee on Education was called to order behind the bar in the Assembly 
Chambers of the Legislative Building, Carson City, Nevada on Sunday, July 2, 
1995, at 2:52 p.m. by Chairman William Z. Harrington, M.D.

A work session was opened.

Chairman Harrington called for approval of minutes of the Education Committee 
through the end of the 68th session.

ASSEMBLYMAN BENNETT MOVED TO APPROVE THE
MINUTES OF THE EDUCATION THROUGH THE END OF
THE 68TH SESSION.

ASSEMBLYMAN MANENDO SECONDED THE MOTION.

THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.


Chairman Harrington called for a vote on Senate Bill 88.

SENATE BILL 88 -	Requires school districts to establish programs providing 
bilingual education.

ASSEMBLYMAN BATTEN MOVED DO PASS ON S.B. 88.

ASSEMBLYMAN CHOWNING SECONDED THE MOTION.

THE MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 3:05 p.m.
