THE EIGHTH DAY

Carson City (Tuesday), June 10, 2003

Senate called to order at 1 p.m.

    President Hunt presiding.

    Roll called.

    All present.

Prayer by the Chaplain, Pastor Albert Tilstra.

We pray, O God, that You will fill this sacred minute with meaning and make it an oasis for the refreshment of our souls, a window cleaning for our vision and a recharging of the batteries of our spirits. Let us have less talking and more thinking, less work and more worship, less pressure and more praying. For if we are too busy to pray, we are far busier than we have any right to be. In Your holy name, we pray.

Amen.

Pledge of allegiance to the Flag.

Senator Raggio moved that further reading of the Journal be dispensed with, and the President and Secretary be authorized to make the necessary corrections and additions.

    Motion carried.
