Results in Brief
The Office of the Military has not updated its policies and procedures
manual since development in 1988. As a result, some of the policies and
procedures are outdated, ineffective, and not clearly defined to ensure
compliance with laws and regulations. In addition, overtime has been earned
and accrued in violation of state laws and regulations.
Principal Findings
1. Authorization for overtime was not adequately documented or approved
in advance by the appointing authority or his designee. (page 8)
2. 2 employees accrued and carried over 120 hours of overtime in violation
of NAC 284.250. (page 8)
