Educated:  Youngstown College, Civil Engineering; National Academy of Code Administrators, Professional Code Administrator.

Married:  Sharon Van Allen.

Children:  Thomas, Robin, Diane, James, Cindy.

Military:  United States Marine Corps.

Hobbies/Special Interests:  Football, hunting, fishing.

Legislative Service: Nevada Senate, 1985-2001--one special and nine regular sessions.  Legislative Commission:  Member, 1989-91; Vice Chairman, 1991-93.  Member, State-Local Relations Committee, National Conference of State Legislatures; Senate Majority Whip, 1991.
